Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Ohio

follow up on social security case

I was approved for 100% disability. I recieved back pay benefits. 1 year later I was informed I must repay the back pay due to a workers comp settlement I had recieved 2 years prior to being awarded my disability. My att.told me when I asked about the w.c. settlement before being approved not to worry about it. Since finding out about the overpayment my att.nor his boss will return my calls. I have filed appeals by myself and was found unfavorable. I intend to refile. However I am way over my head with the legalities. Is there any course of action I can take against this firm to at least get thier assisstence with this? My att. mislead me in numerous items concerning this case. Is there any lawyers out there with any kind of morals or compassion left for the little person who was wronged? this was no small law firm but one that is suppossed to stand behind thier clients. Until they get thier money I guess. Thanks

Re: follow up on social security case

Your letter states that you got "100% disability with back pay" but it does not state who paid that disability and back pay award. Was it a private insurance carrier? Social Security? The Bureau of Workers Compensation? Until we know the answer to that question we cannot help you.
