Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Ohio
Back surgery followed by three consecutive blood clots
Dec.3rd I had major back sugery, bone graphs, steel rods, and six screws. At the hospital I was given a mylogram of which 12 attemps were made with 3 different doctors before finally inserting needle.Hospital gave me a personal appology. After sugery I told doctor of bad pain and cramps in legs.Doctor repetedly told me it was natural. I then had 2 consecutive blood clots which almost took my life.Doctor put me on cumadin after first clot, and installed greenfield filter after second.Had 3rd clot and continue to suffer with back and leg pain today.Seen a nerv doctor who took scan and told me pain was coming from scar tissue caused by sugery.Today I am on vicodin es, coumadin, Paxil, viox, and oxycontin for pain.Prior to surger I had other surgeries with no clots. Im told I may have to remain on medications for life. Do I have any recource for a case.

Re: Back surgery followed by three consecutive blood clots
In order to determine whether you may have a viable case, an expert physician must review all of your medical records and determine whether or not someone was negligent in your care and treatment. An attorney can not, based on this complicated set of facts, tell you if you have recourse. If you have any further questions, please contact me.

If you are near the Cleveland area, feel free to give me call directly, and I will sit down and work with you to see if there was malpractice.
As the other reply correctly noted, there is no way we can offer you any sound legal advice without reviewing those records.
