The radiologist failed to obtain a no cost tissue attenuation measurements to detect fat existence, and according to the National Cancer Institute an important reading to differentiate angiomyolipoma from renal cell carcinoma. Thus, unnecessary surgery will be avoided in these cases.'' This condition was misdiagnosed and kidney surgery resulted.

I went to a lawyer to get a medical review by a radiologist.

Instead a pediatric urologist wrote the review on a condition called Myelolipoma, in favor of the surgeon.

The lawyer dropped the malpractice suit.

I requested a revised medical review according to the pathology report. I was denied. I couldn�t get another lawyer because of this erroneous review. I filed in small claims for recovery of the medical review cost.

Submitted the pathology report, stating Angiomyolipoma, document differences of the two conditions to the court. The decision recently came back in favor of the defendant.

Recently the hospital confirmed it to be Angiomyolipoma. I discovered that a intern�s transcript states �the mass came back as anterior myelolipoma� after the pathology report, and the first surgeon authenticated it. I have requested a verification letter, but I have yet to receive it.

When was the last time that you were treated or examnied by the doctor who did the surgery or a member of his group?

Where did you have the surgery?

From your question it appears as though you corrected the issue that led to your first lawyer dropping the case. If that is the case contact me directly and we will work this out for you. Remember the statute of limitations may be working against you, so no matter what you do, do it now.
