Malpractice suit ?

I am wondering if I can sue for medical malpractice (ohio) - over the death of my mother (2003) who died from a punctured bowel after having a peg-tube insertion done. Have I waited too long and do I have a case ?

The time limit for a medical malpractice case is one year. There are some things that will extend this time limit. The time limit for a wrongful death action is 2 years. Your are beyond this time limit also. Again, there are some technical reasons that may allow a case to be be properly brought beyond that time frame but you will need to talk directly to an attorney and provide additional information.
