Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Ohio
Unsuccessful attempt to extract an infected tooth Negligence or Malpractice
I went to the dentist as a walk in due to extreme pain in a molar. He found decay and infection and attempted to numb the tooth so he could do a root canal. He was unable to get the tooth numb. Even though he was aware I was still feeling pain in the tooth he attempted to extract it. When I yelled he injected the root with novacaine which was extremely painful. The tooth still wasn't numb. He again tried to pull the tooth. I was in so much pain I couldn't even think straight. He injected the root twice, and when I started sobbing he stopped. He then gave me a prescription for antibiotics and Vicodin ES and told me to come back in 1 week to have the tooth removed. Obviously I will not go back to him. I am going to contact an oral surgeon. I think this was barbaric. Do I have a case?

There is something there. I would like you to go immediately to another dentist - and ask him.
