Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio
Attorney`s response to Nurologists`s diagnosis of my injuries.
Problem: A huge 115lb table fell from the wall and knocked me out. This was at a large retail/sporting/gaming place.
3 months physical therapy. Torn muscles in my neck and back. Cranial strain, contuscion external, strength loss and movement loss in right arm and shoulder. Numbness in my right arm and hand and fingers. Severe headaches.
I started getting horrible pain under my skull behind my right ear. When this happens, I get a headache that covers the right side of my head and makes my vision in my right eye get so blurry that I cannot see.
I was recently diagnosed with Fibro Mayalgia. My attorney said since my mother has it that I will be shot down by the companies insurance people and that pretty much the case is dead. She said they will say the table didnt break any bones and the Fibro was inherrited.
I feel something else is wrong from the headaches and eyes blurring. My attorney says its too late to ask for a second opinion and she basically said the case is pretty much dead...Help

You can go without fibro symptoms your whole life until a traumtic event triggers it. You may need another attorney.

You haven't stated how far along your case is. If it is nearly ready for trial, it may be too late to bring in other experts; however, from what you stated, the case seems far from dead. We have cases of fibro all the time. I think that it is a medically sound diagnosis, and if you were not symptomatic prior to the accident, I suspect your doctor will say that the injury precipitated the present problems. Have you seen a neurologist yet?
