Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio
car accident & a reasonable settlement
I was in a car accident in May of 1999 then in a car accident in July of 1999. Both were from people rear-ending the auto. I was stopped at a red light and got hit and I was stopped behind a car turning and got hit. Both said they would cover the medical costs. It was suggested to see a massotherapist, which the first company doesnt want to cover. I was hit hard from the first accident and thats where most of the injuries happened. The doctor told me to let time do the healing and to rest. Then I got hit and they doctor wanted to do treatments.
The insurance company said they would pay $500.00 but not for 165.00 for a massotherapist. The second insurance company said they would pay 2500.00 and any medical bills after the second accident. I have time lost from work and still hurt.
I have lost about 80 hours of work seeing doctors . The first accident was on Friday and I missed the next couple of days at work that following week. The second accident I missed only a few hours since I was late to work..
How is pain & suffering figured?
What is a way of figuring a fair settlement?
I want to be fair but I feel like I am getting the short end from the first company and also notas bad from the second

Re: car accident & a reasonable settlement
Please speak to an attorney who can look at your medical records, bills and lost wages and assist you in determining what would be a fair settlement from both insurance companies. An attorney can also assist you in obtaining a fair settlement. This is not the type of question that can be answered in general. If you need further help, please contact me.
