dog bites

my dog bit the neighbor. it has been 4 months and now he is asking for payment of medical bills and loss wages for his wife and himself. what are my rights

Your neighbor probably has the right to recover damages against you as a result of being bitten by your dog. Those damages could include medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, etc. The exact amount of damages would depend upon the particular circumstances of the case. Also, he would have two years from the date of the incident to bring a lawsuit. It's possible that your homeowner's insurance would provide coverage.
