A 16 year old that causes a collision and is cited for failing to maintain an assured clear distance is no more or no less responsible than anyone else. If he is found to have violated the Ohio Statute he will likely be found guilty and may lose his license for a period of time. He will also be responsible for any injuries caused and the injuries will probably be covered and paid pursuant to his parent's automobile insurance policy.
