Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio
I was driving on a main street with three lanes. One for each way of traffic and a turn lane. It was the first day it snowed so I was driving under the speed limit. A car turned left infront of me stopping in the middle lane, to merge into the lane after me. Their car hit ice and slid into my lane right in front of me. I couldn't stop in time so I turned and hit the back end to the right of their car. How is this my fault? Obviously they didn't have enough room or they wouldn't of stopped into the middle lane

It definitely is not crystal clear that it is your fault. Based on what you wrote above, I would initially have to side with you. However, you must realize that motor vehicle accidents do not always have clear cut liability, especially when snow and ice are involved. If you are trying to collect from your insurer or the other person's insurance company and are having troubles due to any potential liability gray zone, I strongly urge you to consult with an attorney. If your case has merit, any reputable attorney would take your case on a contingency fee basis, meaning nothing is owed to the attorney unless you recover.
If you want to discuss your case further at no cost to you, feel free to contact me.
