Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio
If I exercise my dog in a municipal park and the dog bites someone, is the Municipality still liable even though I signed a waiver form, releasing the Village of any responsibility?

Dog bite laws regarding owner liability vary by city, county and state.
In strict liability states like Ohio, the dog owner, and not the City, is generally liable for any personal injury, death, or loss to person or property that is caused by the owners dog.
If you have homeowners or renters insurance, you should read your policy to see if this incident is covered.
If you still have questions, you should consider calling a dog bite attorney in your state for additional help.
