Under Ohio law, a landowner is not liable when a person slips and falls on a natural accumulation of ice. There is an exception if the owner voluntarily attempts to remove the ice. If they do so, they must use reasonable care in removing it.

More likely, a landowner will be liable if you fell on an unnatural accumulation of ice. An unnatural accumulation is usually where water has frozen after something other than rain or snow (e.g., downspout runoff, broken water pipe or ponding caused by a small flame).
