Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

Fell while making a delivery

I work for a package delivery company. While making a delivery at a retail buisness I fell in the parking lot on a chunk of snow & ice, severly spraining my ankle and tearing my ligaments. After 4 1/2 days off I was allowed to return to light duty w/restrictions. My question is, Since I'm not entitled to received pay for my time off, can I file a claim with the owners of the store that I fell at for lost wages?

Re: Fell while making a delivery

Generally, there is no liability for such an accident as yours. There are limited exceptions. However, you may have a workers compensation claim.
