Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio
Injured by heated car seat
I was burned by a heater in my seat of a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. When I contacted Jeep, they sent me a release to sign saying they would pay for replacing the seat and damages caused to the jeep because of the heater. Should I sign the release or should it say something about compensation to me before I sign? I was told by a customer service rep that I would get compensation and now the only people I talk to are rude and say they will only fix the seats if I sign and return the release.

I would advise you NOT to sign ANY release before you speak with an attorney about your injuries. The only reason they want you to sign a release is to protect themselves from a lawsuit - not to protect you!

So were you injured? Did you require any medical treatment?
