Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

Mutiple PI suits filed over 5 yr period by same person

I had someone sue me for a minor auto accident in 1999. He lumped me in with a suit he had against several Dr's and a medical equipment manufacturer. The case was dismissed w/prej and has went through several gyrations and finally a summury judgement was issued in my favor. The case was appealed by him and after looking on the courts web site it appears he has filed a new suit against me. My question is how long is this going to go on and isn't there a statute of limitations on this? During the original case the Insurance company I had at the time had an attorney for me. It appears according to the docket information on the website that I no longer have an attorney representing me. So I guess my second question is since this is for the same accident is that Insurance company required to provide a defense for me?

If an entry was filed granting your Motion for Summary Judgment, and the Court of Appeals affirmed the grant of the Motion for Summary Judgment, the case should be terminated with respect to you. However, if the Court of Appeals reversed the granting of the Motion for Summary, then the case would continue. You should contact the attorney that was representing you and have him or her check on the actual status of the case.
