Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio
parkinglot injury
My sister was watching my uncle's dog and she was in the parkinglot of the apartment complex. Her foot went thru a sheet of ice and it crushed her ankle it also did other damage to her leg.She had to go under about 3hrs. of surgery. The doctor said will never be able to work again and she will have problems with that foot and leg for the rest of her life.Because they did not clean the parking lot can she sue the Apartment Complex? Also my uncle took pictures of the mess before they cleaned up the ice and snow, also during and after they cleaned it up.

Ohio law regarding "slip and fall" cases is very complicated and also very much slanted in favor of the property owner. That being said, it is quite likely that your sister has a case that should be pursued. She should talk directly to an attorney as soon as she can-witnesses, pictures, any other information needs to be preserved.
Does she have a case? I will need additional information to answer that question. Should she protect her position and get an experienced attorney? Yes!
I have been helping people seriously injured as a result of negligence for over 30 years. I will be happy to discuss this with you or your sister. You can call, or email me your contact information and I will contact you. No charge or obligation for the call.
Good Luck!

I agree with Attorney Davies completely...there are witnesses to the condition of the parking lot and other evidence that could be lost if you don't contact a lawyer. The vast majority of personal injuries lawyers charge on a contingency, so you will not be asked for money up front. Go interview 3 lawyers, and see who feels best. It seems the facts in your case are not going to easily settle this, since the damages are so high and liability will be challenged. For that reason you need to hire a trial lawyer who is not afraid to go to trial....because this should be expected....Another factor making it necessary to act now is that the owners of the building may recognize their liability, and lose their collectibility.... perhaps they dont have current busines insurance....so, you need some help....Of course, you may contact me directly....216.952.1990
