Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio
Radium contamination should I seek Lawyer
Bought items through watch makers ''estate'' auction, including watchmakers chest. Stored all items in my bedroom. 2 weeks later I go through the items and find 3 vials of radium. Handled them, didn't open them, set them down next to me and researched the product. 8 hrs later I go into dark room and I am glowing bright yellow green. I call auction house the same day to inform them of find. Call EPA, they confirm radium. They call USEPA. 2 wks later, Ohio EPA, USEPA, come to take radium away. Radium has been stored outside since date of discovery. They do a sweep of my bedroom and find watchmakers chest contaminated with radioactive dust and wood permeated with radiation. They took most of the chest. I contacted auction house by email asking them for the executors name. Auction house refuses to answer. They did not list the probate number or County of Estate in their auction, there is no listing of deceased in the probate court records. I am stymied. USEPA informs that I am responsible for clean-up costs. I lost an expensive chest. I cannot get answers. 2 of my children were in close proximity and will be getting doctors opinion tomorrow. Should I contact a lawyer to help find executor and can I recover losses?
