Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio
I was served a muffin with a cockroach baked inside
at a buffett/steak house chain restaurant. After I bit into a cornbread muffin I found a large whole cockroach baked inside the muffin where I had just bit. I became instantly sick and paniced bacause I thought I was going to vomit right at the table. I was crying and so upset that I wasn't able to talk but others at my table did get the waitress and manager. Our money was given back for the meals and we left. The manager did take the muffin but I did get in writing with his signature what had happened. I was unable to eat properly for 2 days because I kept thinking about the roach and I do not think I will be free to dine out as I did before. The district manager has been in contact with me and offered gift tickets for $50 free meals in the future...yuck! What recourse do I have or deserve in a situation like this?

Take it to small claims court, ask for the max - $3000 - see what you get.
