Settlement
Can an insurance company ''force'' you to take a structured settlement, or do you have the option of one lump sum payment. The settlement is for my 14 year old who was bitten in the face by a dog. Thanks for your time.

An insurance company can "force" you only insofar as that may be the only offer to you. Such a settlement is always subject to negotiation. The simple answer is that no law REQUIRES that you accept a structured settlement.
