How serious does a slip and fall injury have to be?

I work in a hospital and fell on a wet floor with no wet floor sign.The work injury doctors told me for months that I had a hip and thigh bruise,and would just have to deal with it.After several visits,I was allowed to go to therapy,which didn't help,then finally to my ortho dr.,who said that I have an injury to the bursa in my hip, and the only thing they could do was inject it,which also didn''t help.I have pain and discomfort daily,and limited range of motion in my hip that affects everyday activity such as getting in/out of cars,the bathtub,going up and down stairs,etc.Would it be beneficial to pursue this matter?
