If I wrote a book about a workers comp case and left out the doctor's names. What kind of legal actions would they have against me?

It depends on whether there was a confidentiality agreement signed by you in connection with your case. If not and if your facts are truthful and not defamatory I do not see any problem. Truth is a defense to any claim of libel or slander. Since you do not mention the doctor and you have not said anything that is not truthful I do not see how any claim against you would be successful. Anyone can file a claim for any reason but based upon what you have said I do not believe that the doctor would have any basis to bring a legitimate claim against you. Hope this helps!
