Boundry Disputes

The House next Door was recently purchased and I have a new neighbor. The neighbor contacted me 2 days ago and insists that my Driveway is 14 inches onto her property and that I must ''do something about it''. I purchased my house and property as it is now and the owner before me purchased the house and property as it is now. If the neighbor is correct, am I responsible for removing the concrete driveway or taking any action at all? Thank You.

There are a number of issues raised. To definitively resolve the question, you may want to have a survey done of the property and property lines. Assming that the your driveway is on the neighbor's property, you may consider whether adverse possession, easment by prescription, easement by estoppel apply. Basically, I would try to work out an agreement. If not let the neighbor file suit, it is very costly and most likely you can get your homeowners coverage to defend you in such an action.
