Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

Break a contract with a realtor

I have a contract with a realtor to sell my home. I have not been happy with her performance. There is about four months left in the contract. I have found a buyer on my own who wishes to purchase my home from me without the realor. Can I break the contract and sell the home myself, and if so how is this done?

Re: Break a contract with a realtor

You can break the contract, but you may be liable for damages to the realtor, including for the real estate commission. Read the contract before doing anything.
