Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

Can I cancel a contract with a realtor for the sale of my home? It has been on the market for 5 months of a 12 month contract. He did tell me I could take it off the market at any time. I know I will not be able to list with another realtor until the year is up.

Sometimes realtors say just that in order to get the listing. And sometimes, they are willing to terminate the contract because it is bad business to do so otherwise. Legally, however, you can be held to it.
