Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

Co-ownership of house

My mom and I co-own a house. One of my sisters has taken our mom to live with her and wants us to sell the house. Can this legally be done without my mom's written permission? I do not want this to be an adversarial process, since I was the only child (of many) who was willing to help our mom get into a house. Thank you

Re: Co-ownership of house

Your mother's interest can be conveyed by someone who holds her Power of Attorney, her guardian with court approval, or your mom signing the papers if she is able to do so. You would have to agree to sell, or you would be forcing a partition action through court because of your interest.
