If I am not mistaken, the Ohio legislature recently enacted a bill allowing Transfer on Death deeds. This accomplishes exactly what you have in mind. A piece of property transfers to the alternate upon death of the primary owner. For more detail, or the preparation of such a deed, feel free to contact me. We shall review the new law, learn the requirements, and get it accomplished.

You ask a qustion that has a fairly simple answer. Ohio has just enacated a "transfer on Death" deed. Upon your Ex's death the property would transfer to you. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

If your ex-husband wishes you to have ownership interest in the house only after his death, he could leave it to you in his will. I suggest speaking with an attorney about this, and any other mechanisms that exist to accomplish your ex-husband's desires.
