Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

Gas line from neighbors well crossing our property

A gas line from neighbor's gas well crosses our property along a small road leading to their property-Assuming there are no right of ways along the road do we have the right to demand that they remove the line or be compensated by a free gas allotment? While having a pool dug an employee of the gas well company came and checked the location of the line before we dug, and he said he thought they always gave free gas for crossing your property-but told us not to say he told us.

Re: Gas line from neighbors well crossing our property

Based on what you have stated above it would appear as though you should be compensated for the trespass. There are other factors involved such as the duration of the trespass or the title insurance. I would suggest you contact counsel for assistance.
