Grounds for breaking a one-year apartment lease agreement

A 61-year old female entered into a one-year apartment lease agreement; lived in the apartment one day and then became ill with a congestive heart condition requiring hospitalization. Not being able to live alone due to the heart condition (fluid buildup in thighs, legs, arms and hands, heart racing frequently, experienced shortness of breath, and moved in with daughter after leaving hopital and has not been able to return to live in the apartment after six months. Can the lease agreement be broken?

Re: Grounds for breaking a one-year apartment lease agreement

Unless the lease provides for termination in circumstances like illness, home purchase, job transfer or similar events, the lease will remain binding.
