Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

Homeowners rights vs township rights

We live beside the township garage. They are dumping large amouts of gravel on a small piece of property that connects to our front yard. We are trying to sell our home and we have had alot of intrest until they drive-by our home. This is hurting the value of our home and our attempt to sell. We contacted the trustees by phone and letter stating our problem and asking them to find another place to dump gravel. We have gotten no response, except for they will look into it. What are our rights as homeowners and taxpayers??? What can we do??? Thank you!

Re: Homeowners rights vs township rights

You may have an action for nuisance against the township, as its action is impairing your quiet enjoyment of the property. Letters to the editor, or a call to the local paper might also get some action.
