Keeping it in the family

My father is in his 80`s and he`s been remarried for 6yrs. If he passes would his home go to me his daughter or his wife. The home is in his name only! And she owns her own property and home. If not me, what can I do to keep his home in our family. Since it`s been past down from generations. THANK YOU!!!

The spouse would get the house. I would transfer the house into a joint and survivorship ownership deed. This can be done by an attorney.

In order to make sure that Dad's estate passes as he wants it to, you should contact a probate lawyer.
