Listing agent not wanting to share commision

If a real-estate agent keeps sending back counter-offers to a (Contract to Purchase Offer) and finally submits one that you could not possibly sign,(For the reason to not having to split commision with sellers agent)is this practice legal? Or is it just being greedy?

First, look to the listing agreement. Usually the listing and the selling agent split the commission.

You are obligated to pay the commission stated in the listing agreement. It is up to the realtors to decide how the commission is to be split. He or she can not modify the agreement at this late date.
