Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio
Owning A house with someone else
I currently own a home with my boyfriend, we are not getting along and I would like to sell the house. At the moment he is refusing to sell and he cannot afford to refinance to get the house in his own name, how do I get out of this house?

Re: Owning A house with someone else
Your best course of action is to file for partition to force a sale of the property. You will have the opportunity to buy him out if he chooses not to purchase your interest. If neither of you want to buy, the court will order a sale.
