Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio
poperty
I have maintained the 2 lots behind my property for the past 11 years. And I was wondering if I had any right to the land. The owner who had not even stepped foot on the land for the past 11 years has put it up for sale. Which I realize I could buy, but if I have some right to the land I would like to exercise that right.

The statutory period for adverse possession in Ohio is 21 years. You can not claim an interest in another's property by adverse possession unless your possession has extended for that long.
There are other elements of adverse possession, but we need not discuss them because you do not meet the time requirement.
