power of attorney's

i need to know if someone that has power of attorney for a family member that has been placed in a nursing home can sale their home without their knowledge or signing the contract? And if the owner of the home can come back on the purchasers of the home after the the closing?

Maybe. It depends on what power the POA grants to the attorney in fact. I don't know what come back on the buyer means.
