Property Rights of unmarried couples

My boyfriend and I bought a house together and now we are breaking up and I wan't to know what are my rights as far as kicking him out and changing the locks, is he still resposible for the morgatage if I kick him out?

His right to possession is equal to yours. You need to agree to sell, who will stay while its for sale, and how expenses will be handled.

If you cannot agree, one of you will have to force a sale through a partition action.
