Quick claim deed

Currentley the home I live in has my name on the deed but the mortgage loan is in my brothers name can we do a quick claim deed and transfer the mortage loan into my name?

Dear Mortgagee: Your Brother will have to obtain the consent of the mortgage holder, whether bank or other lender to transfer the obligation of the mortgage to your name. The lender will, no doubt, want to charge you for this change, and will first have to check your credit standing, etc. to satisfy themselves that you can and will pay the mortgage timely and fully. Find out what all of those charges amy be before you change - it may not be worth doing.
