Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

real estate monies owed

I purchased a home with a rent/option. I recently purchased the home with 100% financing and now the property company is not willing to refund my original down payment and 14 months of rental credits totaling $5360. Is this something I can take them to court for?

Re: real estate monies owed

This question is impossible to answer completely without seeing your contract. Assuming you are not in breach and have the right to buy in the contract, you can sue for enforcement of the contract (specific performance). Contact an attorney right away about filing an affidavit of facts so the property is not sold from under you.
