Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

I recently put down a deposit on a specific apartment that I liked as well as filled out the application and paid for that too. The apartment was on the second floor and overlooked the woods so this is why I was drawn to this apartment complex. The apartment representatives stated the apartment would be held for me two weeks ago and just today told me that the current resident is not moving out anymore. I have email correspondence from this business that the apartment would be mine and there was never any question that it might not go through. Since I have put a deposit down, I have taken my name off a waiting list at another complex that I liked. I also booked a truck to haul my belongings and put my notice in to my current apartment. Are there any legal rights that I have?

You just might have a breach of contract claim here, depending upon the terms of your lease. Be sure to read it over very carefully looking for any wording that allows the landlord to rescind the contract.
