Can I recoup the cost

I had a land contract. two days before the contract date, the well pump broke. The owner was contacted. told me to call someone. I did. Plumber couldn't fix. called owner again told me to call well company, I did. Fixed well at cost of $1442.00. I paid it as owner out of state. Owner said I couldn't move in. LC not revoked. He is now selling house and hasn't paid me for the new well pump. How can I recoup the cost?

Sue the owner for unjust enrichment, and for specific performance of the land contract, although you need to carefully review ALL the terms of said document.
