Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio
My stepdad just vacated his condo that he and my mother owned. After her death he put me on the deed as survivorship. He is in a nursing home and says he will not pay any more of the expenses for the condo. Am I responsible for the expenses while he is still alive?

If you are named as a joint owner then yes you would be responsible for the expenses while he is alive. If he signed a transfer on death deed or affidavit then you would have no liabilty while he is alive.
