Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio
Stock found--17 years after mom died
State of Ohio
My sister and I have uncashed checks from 2 companies my mom had stock in.
She passed away 17 years ago. Her father, the executor, is also deceased.
We have her will. How do we reopen probate?

Dear Heirs, To reopen an Ohio Probate Court case previously closed, you may file a document ( Probate Form number escapes my senior memory) describing Newly Discovered Assets, and requesting disposition to heirs, etc. You may first wish to ascertain whether or not the issuer (company) of the stock is still in business. You should retain an experienced Attorney toguide and assist you.
Good luck.
