Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio
So I am currently an undergraduate at a college in Ohio. I was supposed to study abroad this current semester, but could not. I found out that I could not go at the last minute. In order to help pay for my study abroad, my school gave me a $1,000 scholarship. On the condition that if I did not study abroad that I would have to pay it back/ they would not give it to me. Well, the school gave me that money in a rebate check. I emailed that lady who gave me the scholarship, before the semester began, about me not studying abroad. I never heard back from her. I was wondering how long that I have for my school to demand the money back. Mind you, I am registered for classes and living on campus. I am even taking classes in the department that gave me the money. Also, the study abroad dept, registrars office, housing and dinning, etc all know, and acept the fact, that I am not abroad this semester. Please help!

I wouldn't be surprised if you're afraid to talk to the school officials about this matter, but I believe they are the only ones who can help. If you're study abroad people kept the deposit or tuition, this is certainly information the school should have, and I think they would have the most influence.
