Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Ohio
Is this harassment
My boss and I had a relationship for a year. He said one had nothing to do with the other. He got mad at me and fired me. I have not heard from him since and feel that this must have been a working relationship just to keep me producing. I made 90k at my job last year and don't believe I should have lost it based on our argument. I did not report our previous relationship to his authority. Should I just consider him a jerk or was this harassment?

Re: Is this harassment
It does not sound like harassment, but it does sound like discrimination. If your job was predicated on the sexual nature of your relationship, and you lose your job when you refuse to continue the sexual relationship, then you may have been discriminated against due to your unwillingness to have sex with your boss, and you can bring a cause of action. Be very cautious about your statute of limitations. Some companies are not providing private statutes of 30 days which are being upheld in the courts. At most, you may have only six months in Ohio to bring a claim. Good luck and seek legal help from a qualified attorney.
