letter from state ohio special counsel

we received letter today from councel of law state they want $242.85 overdue asscessments we incuerred with state now its been almost 10 yrs since we were in ohio, we are now just getting this letter? which we dont know i rented before i left, so it not property.it say its my policy to contact you in an effort resolve matters without resorting to the courts remitt to this office 10 day of recept or we will enforce judgement against you

I don't have enough facts to answer this. However, considering the small amount, I can tell you that Ohio will not pursue you in another state. It is not worth it. They are simply hoping that you will voluntarily pay.
