Municipality demanding copies of 1040
Can a municipality demand a copy of Page 1 of a resident's IRS form 1040 to accompany the resident's municipal tax filing?

Yes. But I don't know why. They should want copies to an Self-employment form, Schedule C, and/or W-2s.
