Legal Question in Tax Law in Ohio

Problems with Compromise of Federal Taxes

I am working an offer of Compromise with IRS and my accountant. My question is he wants me to mention my wife's part time income and I don't see why this is relevant since we filed married but seperate. She does not want her income mentioned because what she makes just barely pays her interest on her student loan because she works part time and has a doctors note. I owe $28,000 to IRS and I lost my job and I now

make $50,000 less money a year. We filed Chapter 7 and it has been finalized. We still owe for this IRS and she has a student loan of $24,000 she can not pay. What are we to do?

Is it best to just keep me on the compromise or mention my wife. She does not want her bank account garnished and we are worried about our old cars that barely run. We are in runins. Are we going to have to live on the street? Also what good would a 9 1 1 form be if I filed that with IRS? Also how can my wife stop her interest on her student loan and how can I get my taxes under control if they want me to pay back more than I can afford? I also have child support that I am having difficulty in paying. The compromise is for $600 in 90 days.

Re: Problems with Compromise of Federal Taxes

with all those issues you should have a tax attorney in Ohio, not an accountant.
