tax evasion
My husband is going to be charged with tax evasion. We filed joint tax returns and we both signed them. I didn't work so I never had any income that would need to be reported. Only my husband was employed. Additionally, we had an accountant prepare our returns. My husband would just bring them to me to have me sign and that was it. I never looked over the returns to see what all was there and what wasn't. My husband has been investigated by the district attorney, IRS, and FBI. They have never asked to question me or speak with me. Can they also come after me criminally? Where do I stand?

Re: tax evasion
You need to consult with criminal tax counsel -- as you present them, the facts might support an "innocent spouse" defense, but you should get a lawyer engaged before the process is any further along.
