Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio
accident information
If you are involved in an accident in a parking lot and both parties agree at the time to take care of the situation without contacting authorities, and then the other party files a police report later claiming you are completely at fault what can be done, and what are you responsible for? neither party admitted fault at the time of the incident information was exchanged and now the party filing the report is using that information against the other. Where does the liability fall?

Sounds like you're going to be taken to a trial and the judge will decide who to believe.

Re: accident information
Depending on when the accident happened, you may have time to file your own police report with your version of events.
If you belive the other person was at fault, you should say so and notify your insurance of the same. Call your insurance company to see if a claim has been made. If the other party has made a claim, your insurance company will investigate it with regard to who is liable so they can deny the claim or accept it.
