Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio
ATV law in Ohio
I rode someone else's ATV on my grandparents farm. I had
permission from the owner and my parents. The owner was there
to supervise me riding the ATV. I rolled the ATV -no visable
damage other than a bent fender. The owner drove the ATV
afterwards and said it was fine. At that time it had 35 miles on it.
3.5 months later they called me and want me to replace the ATV
($4500.00) they claim to have an estimate that totals out the ATV
and they said it now shows 70 miles on it. What do I need to do in
order to settle this?

If the facts are as you say, tell them you'll pay for the fender. If they want anything extra, they will have to sue you and prove in a court of law that you were the cause of all the excess damage.
