Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio

Falsification of motorcyle license test

I have recently made a poor choice in changing a score on my motorcycle test to show that I passed. I was caught and have been charged with 4507.36 False statement prohibited. and 2921.13 falsification. I have a clean record. What will I be most likely be facing?

Re: Falsification of motorcyle license test

Both of the offenses are first-degree misdemeanors. That means that each carries a jail term of up to 6 months and a fine up to $1,000.00. The maximum therefore you could face is a year in jail and $2,000.00 fine.

What you will likely face depends on the specific judge and prosecutor you have. Ultimately the judge will determine the sentence he hands down. Some prosecutors may be willing to reduce the charges against you in exchange for a guilty plea. A lawyer can speak with the prosecutor for you and try to get you the best deal possible.
